No injuries in Cambridge fire, 11 displaced from homes

Cambridge firefighters extinguished a two-alarm blaze in an Inman Square building that caused no injuries but left 11 adults displaced from their homes, a spokesman said Sunday.

A smoke detector activated after noon Sunday at a three-story building on Cambridge Street, with apartments sitting on top of the M’Lor Caffe.

Seven engine companies put the blaze out. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to firefighters. No damage estimate was available Sunday.

A spokesman for Cambridge Fire said the 11 adults have been assisted in finding temporary accommodations, and no children or pets were in the building.
