Front-line health-care workers get a thank you from their union

Hundreds of people honked, waved and applauded on Friday as a 50-car caravan drove past Boston hospitals, health-care centers and nursing homes to thank front-line health-care workers for their dedication in the battle against COVID-19.

Organized by 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers, the caravan wound through the city, from Carney Hospital in Dorchester to St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton, where they were greeted by people holding up signs that said, “Than you,” and, “You are our heroes!”
